Paprika-Cremesauce-Hähnchen

  • Total Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
  • Yield: 4 person 1x

Description

Dies ist ein schmackhaftes Paprika-Cremesauce-Hähnchen-Gericht, das verschiedene diätetische Bedürfnisse und Vorlieben berücksichtigt.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breast fillets (approximately 1.5 to 2 lbs in total)
  • 2 tablespoon Paprika (preferably smoked paprika for a more intense flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil (for frying)
  • 2 tablespoon Butter (for richness)
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Chicken broth (low sodium recommended)
  • 1 cup Whipping cream (for a rich sauce)
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnishing)
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice (optional, for freshness)

Instructions

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic. Set aside.
  3. Generously season both sides of the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let the seasoned chicken rest for about 15-20 minutes to intensify the flavors.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan over medium to high heat. Cook the chicken for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and place it on a plate. Add the chopped onion to the same pan and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Then add the chopped garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze and dislodge burnt pieces. Let the broth simmer for about 5 minutes. Stir in 1 cup of whipping cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  7. Return the sautéed chicken breast pieces to the pan and cover them with the creamy sauce. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 5-10 minutes for the flavors to meld and the sauce to lightly thicken.
  8. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed with more salt, pepper, or paprika. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken broth or water to achieve the desired consistency.
  9. Plate the chicken and drizzle the creamy paprika sauce over it. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and added freshness.
  10. Serve it with side dishes such as pasta, rice, or vegetables to complement the dish.

Notes

Leftover Paprika Cream Schnitzel can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Gently heat on the stove at low heat to prevent the cream from curdling.
